Have it Your Way

Many of the show rooms we visited in High Point were highlighting their customizable products — a huge trend in the industry.

Higher-end customers want quality, custom products and furniture makers are ready to deliver.  Customization offers companies an opportunity to set their products apart from mass produced items by large retailers like Pottery Barn or cheap imports from online merchandisers.  For customers, it’s an opportunity to select exactly the right piece to suit their unique space and personal style.  And these quality products are made right here in the United States.  A win-win all around.

Need a specially-sized dining table?  No problem!  You can have it built to your own specifications in size, finish and leg style.

“If you can dream it and draw it we can probably build it.”

Painted pieces are now available from many companies in a wide range of color choices (and some will even use your own paint color upon request).

This Sherrill Occasional Chest is available in a range of custom finishes – but wait, there’s more!  Sherrill’s Color Match program allows you to choose a paint color from Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams for a finish match to precise specifications.  (Sherrill also offers a custom table program).
The Lotus Bar Cabinet from Century furniture is available in a variety of colors and finishes.

Tritter Feefer is now offering their American made transitional furniture in over 200 high gloss finishes (in addition to their large array of antique and fresco finishes).

COM (customer’s own material) has been an option on upholstered items for years, but now you can add custom upholstery to mirrors, side tables and chests.

We spotted this upholstered mirror frame with nailhead trim in the Vanguard showroom.

And you can customize many other elements of your upholstered pieces — from arm style to seating depth to specialized detailing or trim.

Vanguard furniture offers a Make it Yours sofa with eight different personalization options.

Short of opening up a carpentry and upholstery shop in your back yard, there is no better way to turn your unique vision for perfect furniture into a reality.  And thanks to this latest development in U.S. furniture manufacturing, there is no better time.

So go ahead and dream up your perfect sofa, table, or cabinet.  We’ll help you get it made.

Do it!
